As Paris readies for the COP21 International Climate Talks, building and real estate companies including Ciel Power LLC are joining together to urge policymakers to seize the economic, societal, and environmental opportunity of tackling climate change.  Led by Ceres, businesses around the United States have embraced a clear statement for climate action by our government.

The Building and Real Estate Climate Declaration is a companion to Ceres' Climate Declaration launched in 2013 which has more than 1660 signatories nationwide including iconic brands such as Gap Inc., General Mills, Disney, Apple, and Starbucks.

The building and real estate sector firms have signed their own Building and Real Estate Climate Declaration to call attention to the specific risks and opportunities associated with climate change on the built sector industry, which is a major economic driver in the United States and produces 39 percent of carbon emissions annually.

Funded by a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry is part of a larger joint initiative between the New Jersey Small Business Development Center and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

The Sustainable Business Registry was developed as a way to “raise awareness, educate and motivate companies to pursue sustainability as a competitive business strategy and a shared community responsibility, and account for its performance in terms of the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit).”

Lyndhurst NJ - Ciel Power LLC, a leading provider of residential energy audits and energy-efficient home retrofits today announced that it has been awarded a contract designating Ciel Power LLC as the provider of residential energy audits for Watchung's “Going Green – One Home At A Time” campaign.

Watchung's Going Green – One Home At A Time campaign focuses on practical ways for homeowners to save energy and money and will help the town of Watchung earn bronze certification as a sustainable community with Sustainable Jersey, a certifying organization for the state. Made possible by the Watchung Green Team, Borough Council Members, and Mayor Steven Pote, the campaign is also designed to promote awareness of the New Jersey Home Performance with Energy Star program, an incentive program offered by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
